No, not the handsome guy or girl of your choice on screen.
I mean, the orange sticky note near the camera at the top.
This is my MacBook computer, the same one I'm running my virtual business storytelling workshops and Zoom, MS teams, Webex, etc meetings on.
So what's with the orange smiley face?
A simple virtual communication skills hack: it reminds me to look down the barrel of the camera -- because that way I'm making direct eye contact with everyone.
If i'm looking at their screen shot/avatar, the audience will see me as looking down or sideways or both.
Averting eye contact in other words. An absolute No No!
Try it today, and captivate, convince and convert better.
